Dog transformation monster portrait, thigh

My buddy Doyle cruised out from Minnesota for a few days, we knocked out a couple portraits of his dogs, with a twist. He had this cool idea to do something based on John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ re-make from 1982, a scene where a dog was transforming into a weird creature. So I came up with this. Had a blast! Dog portraits and monsters are two of my favorite things to tattoo. If you swipe you can see a piece I did on Doyle about a year ago, a self portrait of him with that same ‘The Thing’ theme. He’s got one of the best tattoo collections in the world. After I did that self portrait, Robert Hernandez did a massive piece next to it, it’s next level stuff man. And Big Meas did the piece above it recently, from some old Jack Rudy flash, with his own twist, it’s incredible. He has a sleeve from Jesse Levitt, a giant rib cover up from Guy Aitchison, work by David Jorquera, Toxic and more. Check out his Instagram to see it all,
